Rev. F. Romall Smalls

The Reverend F. Romall Smalls, M.Div. (Baptist) is the Associate Minister for Social Justice at the historic Grace Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, NY. Rev. Smalls has had the honor of being the first to ever serve in several key roles. Most notably, Rev. Smalls was one of the first pastoral counselors in the United States to minister at an HIV/AIDS service center. He was also the first African American to serve as a Senior Affiliate Chaplain at New York University.

Rev. Smalls is a theologian, public health leader, journalist, social commentator, and a respected voice for social justice and equity.  He is currently a law student at the City University of New York School of Law where he is working to meld public interest law, liberation theology, and social justice to move protest into policy.
